Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 lamb chops
  • 1/2 cup tamarind paste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together tamarind paste, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Place the lamb chops in a shallow dish and pour the tamarind glaze over them, making sure each chop is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the lamb chops for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
  4. Baste the chops with more of the tamarind glaze during grilling for extra flavor.
  5. Remove from heat and let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds before serving.
